Jindera Lantern Festival

Jindera Lantern Festival

A magical evening where the community of Jindera illuminated the night with a walk down the mainstreet from the Village Green to the Museum. This was a family friendly event with food and refreshments available.

History Meets Indulgence

The Museums Tea Room was transformed into a hidden speakeasy for the evening for a night of fine food, flowing wine and vintage charm. Guests slipped into the past and let the warm glow of the evening transport them to a time when secrets where shared over a glass of wine.

Leading up to the Lantern Festival we are holding two Lantern Making Workshops.

Two workshops, guiding participants in creating their own lanterns to be displayed during the evening events. The workshops where open to all ages and skill levels, making it a fantastic opportunity for families and children to get involved in the festivities.

Involvement with Local Schools:

As part of the museum's ongoing commitment to community engagement, local schools are actively involved in the lantern-making process. Students will have the chance to learn about the historical significance of lanterns, as well as the craft of making them, bringing their creations to life during the Twilight Openings.

Stay tuned via our social media for when our events are live.
