Lantern Making Workshop 2026
Jindera Pioneer Museum is preparing for its annual Lantern Walk, held this year on Saturday 1 August 2026. In the lead-up, we're running two hands-on lantern making workshops on Sunday 26 July — a chance to craft your own lantern before joining the walk.
Each workshop runs two hours and welcomes beginners of all skill levels. Sessions are open to adults and children eight years and older; younger children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. No prior craft experience is needed — we'll guide you through the process from start to finish.
Everything required to build one individual lantern is supplied: frame materials, paper, glue, and tools. If you'd like to personalise your lantern further, feel free to bring your own embellishments — ribbon, beads, pressed flowers, or anything else that suits your design.
Light refreshments will be provided during the session, so come ready…
